Bill Cosby understood which emotions we need to encourage if we want to get the best out of life. We can all be led by our emotions, but we don’t always let the correct ones take the lead. Rather than emphasize the ones that will lead us to a better place, we give in to fear and self consciousness.
All this does is strip us of some amazing opportunities, as Bill Cosby notes in the following quote. By saying “In order to succeed, your desire for success should be greater than your fear of failure” he was letting us know that there is nothing wrong with desiring success.
If we don’t then we risk failure and there is no reason why anyone would want that. Don’t worry of things going wrong and you don’t get what you want right away. Carry on and if you keep the desire to succeed strong, you will get there in the end.
