Chinese Proverb about Ignoring the Disbelievers
There is a Chinese proverb that states that “The person who says it cannot be done should not interrupt the person who is doing it.” If you don’t want to admit that something can be done, that is a poor attitude to begin with.
But an even worse one is to carry on the assumption despite the success of the person who has achieved it. As this Chinese Proverb suggests, it is wrong to let your limitations affect the efforts of others and even worse to deny their success and dream.
How many times have you seen someone trying to do something and rather than receive praise for their efforts are just criticised by another person claiming what they try to do is impossible.
All this other person is doing is trying to spoil the dream of the first. There are few things we realistically try to do that cannot be done, so for many there will be eventual success. This Chinese Proverb is so realistic.
