Fast Food Job Walk Off US
Overnight thousands of American fast food employees from McDonalds, Burger King and Wendy’s along with other stores in 100 cities around the country walked off the job in protest to the minimum $7.25 per hour wage.
They are making their case heard to raise the minimum wage to $15.00 per hour. This campaign has been organised by advocacy groups like low pay is not ok and fast food forward.
The American fast food industry is worth $200 billion dollars and has become a major symbol of instability and inequality.
