Bottrell Business Consultants is a leading provider of accounting, tax, business advisory, and financial planning services in the Newcastle and Maitland areas. We are dedicated to helping our clients achieve their financial goals by providing expert advice and personalized service. We have two office locations in the region, one in Newcastle and another in East Maitland, where the graduate accountant will be placed.
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and ambitious individual to join our team as a Graduate Accountant. In this role, you will have the opportunity to learn and grow with our experienced team of accountants while providing support to our clients. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has recently graduated from a relevant accounting program and is looking to start their career in the field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting with data entry and bookkeeping tasks
- Preparing financial statements and reports
- Providing support to our team of accountants
- Learning and understanding tax laws and regulations
- Communicating with clients and other stakeholders
- Option to study for professional accounting qualifications (CPA or CA)
Qualifications & Skills:
- Recently graduated with a degree in accounting or related field
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Willingness to learn and take on new challenges
- Experience with accounting software (such as Xero, MYOB) is a plus
