Do you appreciate good things that are done to you? How often do people return your favor by saying thank you? The hardest thing you can ask some people to do is to show gratitude. Deborah Lee, the CEO of BET, had this to say: “The importance of gratitude is never forgotten.”
If you want to receive another favor tomorrow, learn to appreciate the things others do for you. It does not matter whether the favor is big or small; just say thank you. The person will feel appreciated and will never forget the things you did.
We have all come across ungrateful people. The annoying thing is that these people are always looking for more favors yet they have no gratitude. If you don’t appreciate others, start now, and if you don’t feel appreciated by others, there is little you can do.
Showing gratitude is a behavior that people develop from a tender age. Others don’t develop it, unfortunately.
