Make Tax Deductible gifts or donations Claims Today
It is possible to make tax deductible gifts or donations. But you should make these to DGRs. These are organisations that are deductible gift recipients. Note that you can only claim deductions for gifts or donations if you are the donor.
But there also four conditions that you should meet. These are:
• You must make tax deductible gifts or donations to DGRs as aforementioned.
• A gift or donation must be just that. A gift is described as a voluntary transfer of funds or assets without expecting a material gain in return.
• The gift should be one of the recognized types. Mostly it is money. But you could also give away assets or shares and claim a deduction for each.
• Your gift should abide by relevant gift conditions.
To make tax deductible gifts or donations work, you should know how much to claim. If you have donated money, it is deductible only if it was over two dollars.
