It is easy to say we do not have a gift or anything to offer as it will then be easier to get out of doing anything good or anything important. Marie Curie believed that it was important to have confidence in our own abilities and select the thing that we were most likely to achieve.
Marie Curie said this: “We must believe that we are gifted for something, and that this thing, at whatever cost, must be attained.” Marie Curie was giving her believe that we should do all we can to do that one thing for which we are the most gifted.
Who would want to go through life and then at the end have it said that they did not have a gift or the ability to make a difference. Not making a selection of that gift, and not working hard to follow things through to the end is not an option as far as Marie Curie was concerned.
