New Superannuation Data and payment standard for employers
The ATO will be notifying medium and large employers to encourage them to investigate options in preparation for the data and payment standard which will take effect from 1 July 2014. The standard will be applicable to employers with 20 or more employees and requires payment and data of superannuation to be sent electronically. Many of the complexities for businesses regarding superannuation will be removed.
