About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-level accounting services to our clients, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and delivering expert advice on tax, financial planning, and business strategies. You will also play a key role in mentoring junior accountants and supporting the overall growth of the firm.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare financial statements, budgets, and tax returns for clients across various industries
  • Manage client portfolios and offer proactive advice on tax planning and business structuring
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and reporting requirements
  • Perform financial analysis and provide insights to improve client performance
  • Assist in auditing and compliance activities
  • Mentor and train junior staff, fostering their professional development
  • Liaise with clients to understand their business needs and offer tailored accounting solutions
  • Stay updated on changes to tax laws and accounting standards
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • CPA or CA qualification (or working towards one)
  • Proven experience as an accountant, ideally with experience in a public practice
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, taxation, and financial reporting
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong communication and client management skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
