Even if you are holding back on the morph into the digital era, the rest of Australia has jumped on that bandwagon. Your customers are online – and they need to find you!
As a business you need a digital presence if you wish to stay in business in the foreseeable future. This isn’t to say you need to spend thousands and thousands to get up to speed. You can choose just one or a mix of different options to create your digital business profile.
- A website or blog – increase your online presence with your own website dedicated to promoting your business. Engage a professional web designer to create your own custom site, or have a go yourself with sites such as Wix.
- Social media profiles – Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat, YouTube, LinkedIn, Pinterest… take your pick and create free business profiles for instant digital connection.
- Listing in online directory – if you are not ready for your own site or social media domination just yet, at a minimum create a listing in your local online directory for people using the online traditional way of finding local business.
Technology is here to stay. In no way does it ever replace good old-fashioned customer service, but it sure does help.
