All of us will hate to be stuck in an actual traffic jam, but what about a virtual one. When the day to day actions have to be taken and work has to be carried out, we will find lots of people want to do what they have to do and not a bit more. If we want to stay with those people who cause traffic, we will be safe but will always find people around us and little time to ourselves.
Roger Staubach realised that there is a way to get some time to yourself and that is to do above and beyond what you have to do. When he said “There are no traffic jams along the extra mile,” he was pointing out that there are few who want to do extra.
If you decide that you will, you will not be surrounded by others, but you will be able to achieve what you want without interference.
