Boost Juice in takeover talks with Affinity Equity: report
Retail Zoo – the company that owns the Boost Juice health drink franchise – is in exclusive sale negotiations with private equity firm Affinity Equity Partners, The Australian Financial Review reports quoting sources.
Affinity gained exclusivity to buy Retail Zoo, which is 70 per cent-owned by US-based private equity firm The Riverside Company, after seeing off rival private equity suitors including Bain Capital and Archer Capital, according to the AFR.
Investment bank UBS started working with The Riverside Company and Retail Zoo’s other shareholders on potential exit options last year and also considered an initial public offer.
Boost Juice is under the Retail Zoo umbrella which includes food franchise brands Salsa’s Fresh Mex Grill, Cibo Espresso and Hatch Chicken Shop.
