Intellectual property is a product that is made physically for economic gain. An idea does not become this sort of property until it is implemented. So, if you have ideas for a novel, you have to write them down in order to create something worth selling and having ownership for.
There are different types of intellectual properties’ protection including copyrights, trade marks, logos and patents. They protect Intellectual property from being stolen, pirated or copied.
Whether you have written a song or book, you should have exclusive rights to it.
With the right type of protection you could stop people from:
• Duplicating the name of your brand or product
• Copying your original stuff
• Stealing the shape or design of your products
• Duplicating your written intellectual property.
You can only claim to be the ultimate owner of intellectual properties if you are the one who created them. They must satisfy the requirements for a design, copyright or patent.
