Xero release: smarter, better, faster, stronger
Xero is speeding up your workflow, in April 2015 they have made a few more enhancements to add efficiency and correctness to what you do.
Inclusive/exclusive tax settings-
Do you sell to both retail and wholesale clienteles or suppliers? Are some of your sales invoices inclusive of tax and others exclusive? Great news!
April 2015 Xero added a new tax settings at both an organisation level and an individual customer level. This will give greater accurateness while invoicing and more flexibility when dealing with different types of customers (eg wholesale vs retail).
Displaying more references-
People use the ‘Reference’ field in Xero for all sorts of things. However, references are often concealed and you’ve got to go chasing to find them. Now that’s changed! Together the bank rec and account transaction page you now get served up a little more facts about the transactions you’re looking at; as well as document references, payment ribbon references and check numbers.
Statement balance email placeholder-
Do you email numerous of statements?
For your clients to find out how much they owe you, they’ve got to view the PDF. Instead, you can physically type the balance into the outgoing email. Bit annoying hey?
From April 2015 you can automatically insert the unresolved balance of a statement using the new placeholder. The placeholder will be switched by the balance on the outgoing PDF statement. Slip it into your email templates and let Xero do the work for you.
Remove statements from sending-
A few months back Xero presented the ability to eliminate separate customers’ emails when distributing out many invoices at a time. This promotion is now available for statements.
So if you’ve selected a few too many customers to chase for payment and want to remove a couple, you no longer have to start from scratch. Simply click the X and the statement won’t be sent.
